Skill - Rope Climb

Wod - 21,15, and 9 rep rounds for time of:

  • Box Jumps (30"/24")
  • KB Swings (70#/53#)
  • Toes2bar

35# kb, wasn't sure on # since this is my first workout, but need to go higher next time.

Thanks Mike for the advice on kipping the T2B to stop my swing. Shooting for heavier and faster next time.

Newbie here (*waves*) - 4th week at Reston. Loving it so far and grateful for the adaptations offered. I'm feelin' sassy enough to sign up for the Warrior Dash in MD in May but know I have lots of strength I'll need to build.

8:32 - Box jumps on 3 stacked 45# weights (4 next time), 22# KB (26# next time), ABMAT sit-ups.

10:18, 24" box :) and 35 KB :( T2E. Getting the rythm of the kip better, so hopefully i'll build some strength to kick my toes up soon.

16:56 "Rx" - Maggie was nice enough to put rx on the board, but in the first round of T2B I switched to K2E and she got on me for it and made me go back to T2B :-)

30" box is something else.. getting up wasn't bad, but I was always a tad scared getting back down. :-) And my grip on the KB was starting to fail in the last 9. :-(

But... I went out and got me a 1" dowel rod and some rope so I could start doing wrist rolls and wrist curls to build up my forearms more.
